The Father of Vinyasa Yoga is T. Krishnamacharya. Most asana traditions have been heavily influenced by his teachings. It is said that he is the pioneer in refining postures, sequencing them optimally, and ascribing therapeutic value to specific asanas ("Fernando Pages Ruiz, Yoga Journal). India owes a great deal to Krishnamacharya for Yoga's resurgence.
